Ron,
I searched my cd of Vford and did not find an article on coil boxes. However, the CD version of Model T Encyclopedia has photos of the boxes from 1909-1915

Here is a link to the index of Vintage Ford Magazine articles published in 2019 that covers 1966 through 2019.

I didn’t see an article about coil box types by Bruce McCalley.
One article attributed to him is “Evolution of” volume 44-4-12.
Maybe it’s a truncated title for what you are looking for.
Update:
I was looking for the coil box article and I found this post from 2008:
“By Ron Patterson on Monday, January 07, 2008 - 06:51 pm:

It appears you have the coilbox used on Model T's that were equipped with the FA starting and lighting system from 1919-1925. On these cars the ignition key and light switch was on the dash.
There is an excellent two part article by Gail Rodda with photos of all year Model T coils and coilboxs in the Model T Times issues March/April and May/June 1993.
I have a copy in my shop and refer to it very often.
