Post Your 2023 Hershey Spaces and Goods on Offer Here!

Post by CudaMan » Sun Sep 03, 2023 2:08 pm

I'm not going to Hershey this year, but in past years I have started a thread like this for sellers to post their spots in the field and a brief overview of what they will be bringing to sell.

MTFCI and MTFCA, please post your spots, along with day and time of member meetings if you have any scheduled. Thanks!

I will be bringing two professionally rebuilt in Ohio Short Blocks For Sale. One is a 1925 with a 4 November 1925 Make Date and has the bolt holes for a 1926 transmission. The other is a 1926 with 31 March 1926 Make Date. Call or Email me for more detail on the overall rebuilt items."

We’ll be in our usual spaces -RSE 29-31 behind the old stadium. We’ll have a variety of Model T and other early stuff.
We’ll have the Solar headlights and generator but would prefer to bring the wheels (24” Hayes) and radiators (1901-03 Curved Dash Oldsmobile and maybe c. 1910 Moline) only if they’re sold.

I'm in GCC 5,6, almost across from the crab cake vendor over in front of Giant Center. if I'm not there, I'm out hunting for stuff. I'll have some brass lights, burners, clocks, accessories, some literature and some great early automobilia for serious collectors of the early stuff. Of course there will also be some spark pugs for collectors too. Bring old plugs for me! See you there. Praying for sunshine!

From another thread:

"Russ Potter has been home for two weeks now and spends two to three hours a day in his shop.

He plans to bring 36 rebuilt carburetors to Hershey and will be in his RWI spot with is son, son-in-law, and a friend.

Half of the carburetors will have the swivel- mixture control and half will have the earlier style."

We will be there with a trailer full of ignition parts for most makes and models from 1910 to 1960. We'll have parts for the clip on distributors that fit the model T Ford as well. Makes include Bosch, Delco, Atwater Kent, Autolite and Thomas. Other parts we'll have are point sets, distributor caps, rotors, starter and gen brushes, cutouts, stop light switches, distributor and oil pump gears, spark plug toppers. Stop by and set a spell, find us in C4N 30-33 Tom and Sue

C3L 10-11
After attending Hershey most years since the mid 70's I now am the landlord of the spaces.
Not sure what I will take and have not started to load, maybe next weekend.
I have too many parts to fit and not sure what I will take and some things are large and or heavy.
If there is interest I can bring some of the following:
1919-1923 Coupe Doors (Round Corner Wood Frame Type)
KR Wilson Combination Machine with a few pieces
Hand Crank Coil Tester
Torpedo Seat and a few other body parts
What are people looking for this year and what should stay home for another year ?

The coil box has a steel cover on the switch, that makes it a 1916-1919 for a non starter T.

Always looking for antique spark plugs - old, odd, unusual, crusty, big, brassy, with gadgets and gizmos. I'm especially interested n any odd brand plugs that are made especially for the Ford Model T. If you are a collector I'll have some nice extras for sale.

I am not a vendor but will be attending and will have the following items with me that are available:
*5 NOS Timken left side threaded front wheel bearings, and 5 NOS Timken outer cups. Still in original boxes and wax paper. a few rust stains on them from storage. $60 for each bearing with cup
*12 wooden wheel spokes, 21" with 1/2" tenon. These are new except that I sanded them and gave them a coat of varnish before discovering that they would not fit my Canadian made wheels. $100 for the set.
If you are interested pm me your contact info and I will call during Hershey in the order that I receive your info until the items are sold.

The too, the taillights are the 1926 accessory type.

They were patent applied for in June 1926 and Patent granted in July 1927, so they are kind of rare.

Dode and Huppmobile also used the and one more I forgot.

I'll be back at my usual post at OAI-21 with a truck and trailer load of stuff. I've got a pretty nice Brass windshield for a Torpedo Roadster among other things. I've even got a transmission for a Locomobile. Stop by any time

I'll be in the South Chocolate Field at space CP-42. I'm bringing a 1911-1913 frame, a complete set of 1909-1925 Rocky Mountain brakes, and some other T parts.

Why do some people say they are in the Chocolate, Red, or Orange Field, and some just give letters and numbers?

Are there 2 different area's to look at?

The space numbers contain a letter for which field they are in. Check the AACA Hershey site maps here:

I had some questions on my two motors that I am bringing to Hershey.

I got these motors from two estates. The family had little information on them, but here is what I know.

1914 - got it to run (hand cranking). I used the carburetor from the other engine. I have a video of it running. All 4 cylinders had about 20-30 psi of compression. I did not get a good reading because I was by myself and hand cranking it. Ran pretty good. No abnormal amount of smoke or noise. Would not run on mag.

192? - ran pretty good on the run stand. It is a complete motor except the generator needs a cutout. The generator was a rebuilt that I put on. Compression was 40-50 psi. I have a video of it running. The serial number pad is blank, so it has never been stamped. There is a repair on the block, not sure when it was done. Looks like a repaired crack on the left side. I realize this will devalue the price. The engine stand is really nice, comes with it. Ran on mag,

I will be at Hershey, Orange field, OBG 29-31. I don’t want to take these motors home, so the I will take the best offer.
