The first one looks like a Model T with an A engine in it. The wheels and axles are T. The radiator is T.

My favorite car - used, run hard and put away wet but I love it. It has evolved a lot and been a ton of fun over the last 30 years.

Yes.... but I really liked it. Here's a pic of my '26... I've since cut the fender supports that stick out in the bottom pic.

Re: **SPEEDSTER PIC's Please**
One of Elbert Hall's Comet racers. He made 4, 6 and 8 cylinder cars. The article is from Motor Age 3rd September 1908 and most likely refers to one of the 4 cylinder cars.
It's interesting to note that Halley's Comet was due in 1910 and in the preceding years it would have been very much in the mind of the general public. For example in April 1908 the Scientific American published a short article in one of their special supplements entitled “The Return of Halley's Comet”. Given the similarity between the names Hall and Halley I suspect Elbert chose the name Comet as a play on words.
There are a few pages on the Comet racers in the 2007 book "Hall-Scott: The Untold Story of a Great American Engine Maker"
https://www.sae.org/publications/books/content/r-368/
If anyone has a copy of the March-April 1975 issue of Antique Automobile there is an article on the Comet by Warren Miller. I would be very interested to see a scan of that.

The Hall-Scott A2 V8 - Cycle and Automobile Trade Journal November 1910. The Comet would have had a similar engine.

Here are a couple T powered cars. They are really race cars, not very street friendly. The blue one was the 1973 Long Beach champion. The Wild Cherry II is the first model T to take king of the hill at the speedster reunion in Nebraska

Hey Mike, the yellow one looks nice but does it run? Will we ever see it on a tour or endurance run? Or have I just not been at the right place/right time.

The Mercury skirts are 7 inches. The second piece from the firewall forward tapers down to just under 3 inches at the radiator.
I’ve seen Mike’s yellow car in person. The early short cowl is pretty cool.

Re: **SPEEDSTER PIC's Please**
Yup the yellow mercury runs and it is licensed and insured. It needs windshield glass cut and a few adjustments and that's about it. Right now it's trapped in the back of the garage while the front of the garage is occupied by the disassembled black mercury and boxes of parts. There is a lot of stuff I need to shuffle around so it might be a few months before I get the yellow Mercury on the road. Happy New Year !

Re: **SPEEDSTER PIC's Please**
Great photos! Thanks to all for posting! And so many different ideas on how to build a speedster the owner really likes. And I liked them all also! I suspect there would be over 15,000,000 speedster possibilities at one time
?
Below is a photo from the internet (sorry I didn't save the address – my bad) that shows Harrah's 1924 Mercury when it was freshly restored sometime in the 1970s.
There is a print or painting of that car with a golf course scene in the background – I think it was on one of the older forum threads? I've been looking for that photo or thread but so far, I haven't found it. If someone has an easy way to find it, please let me know. Google search wasn’t that helpful at finding that illustration for me.
But while looking for the photo of the Mercury at the golf course I came across the Gooding & Company website at: https://bid.goodingco.com/lots/view/1-7 ... -speedster It has 65 photos showing lots of details of that same 1924 Mercury that was auctioned last year. While an older restoration at this point -- it is still a wonderful speedster.

Thanks for posting Hap, I’d lost track of that link. It’s a wonderful car and it’s rare to get so many good photos.

Re: **SPEEDSTER PIC's Please**
This one appeared at a car show in Menan, ID. I thought the suspension modifications were interesting.
When did I do that?
