Lee Thevent speedster plans ? missing parking brake hole placement

Post by jbdairy03 » Thu Feb 22, 2024 2:43 pm

Hello
checking if anyone that built a speedster body from the Lee Thevent plans Looking for the hole size and placement in the body for the parking brake ?
I can do it with Measuring and math but figured why reinvent the wheel if someone can pic or has measured what they did. it is not mentioned anywhere in the plans. He also has plans on making wood fenders ? wouldn't mind trying just to see how they look but not sure if want to go through the work if others have tried and didn't turn out as well as thought or rounded wood seats for that matter ?
Thanks

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

You're much further ahead than me. I am curious if you or anyone else on the boards have built the Lee Thevant body and tried using original style steel fenders? Asking because I have a set that I salvaged from a horribly misused body, but I "think" they could work on the speedster with some selective modification.

Unfortunately my project was put on hold during the summer, but if you do a google Search for speedster there are some with fenders I do not think his body plan would interfere with any fender attachment
