Rex, I’m fascinated by your pickup with that top ! I wish you’d post more pictures of it in detail. I hope you get some responses from other owners. What a fun accessory conversion !

That's pretty neat!
Just a 20 year old who listens to 40 year old music, works on 75 year old airplanes and drives 100 year old cars.
The past is only simple because hindsight is 20/20.

That car is much too nice to restore. Just get it safe and roadworthy and allow it to tell its history. I love it!

Cleaned up the pistons and lapped the valves, so I'll have it running soon I hope. I won't restore the car, it looks great the way it is I think. I wire brushed it and put a coat of rust ended on it. Just going to be a neighborhood driver.

Just because I like to compare values, according to the inflation calculator, that top for a roadster would cost $1062.44 today !

What a great piece.
I would put that on the road with its beautiful patina in a hot minute.

I think it will be good for a driver if you only use it in dry weather and keep it garaged when not driving.

This picture was posted at the fb pagehttps://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1022210009 ... 3824075548
covering the recent old car festival.
It was described as being a "Californian" top. I think the term Californian is now a more generic name for a type of type that turns a touring into more like a sedan with a soiid top, possibly with many different manufacturers of the same concept.

Anyone else make little framed displays for cars? This would be neat to go along with it.

Your picture of the car being pulled from the barn says it all! Now that is a genuine barn find! Not a T that was restored 20-30 years ago but one that genuinely has never been touched when it was put in the barn. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ORIGINAL BARN FIND T !
And it’s remarkable that the top and windshield are still in great condition.
