German soldiers examine a hastily abandoned field workshop where two examples of imported armoured cars were in the process of being repaired.
The Russian Army received 22 Lanchesters in December 1915. 19 of them were later rearmed with 37-mm naval Hotchkiss gun instead of a .303 Vickers machinegun.

I think it funny that whomever armored the Model T felt the necessity to include cowl lamps

Yes! The cowl lamps on the T really don’t seem necessary. The headlights would probably be but not so much the cowl lamps.

And I expect the half inch thick hinged shield currently in the ‘UP’ position in front of the radiator is for winter driving in the Marne…huh?…huh?… huh ?

Re: Captured Russian Lanchester and Ford armored cars
Constantine Mandilas posted very interesting material here about this some years ago, but I can't find it.
The armoured cars were used by Royal Navy forces in Romania in 1917-18. They were built by W G Allen in the English midlands.
He quotes from a book by Conrad Cato which related an episode where they successfully supported Russian forces against Bulgarians. Lt Walter Dorling Smiles was wounded in the action and was awarded a DSO.
The Ts used to go into action in reverse so that the Maxim MG on the rear had a good field of fire - and so they could easily retreat when required!
The splendid but very heavy Lanchesters could get bogged down if they slid off narrow roads into ditches at the side.
