Only difference from th picture is that the main leaf is bot connected to the perches which are cut off

I had a 1914 speedster with a spring like that or very similar. I really did not notice anything different than normal. But it was a light car. I think mine was a "Longleaf" brand.
After looking closer to your photo/ad I see the ad shows a "double-set" of springs. Mine was a single spring as shown in the photo above
