Our greenfield village tour
My family and myself have been enjoying the the Henry Ford museum and the greenfield village. My wife is not a car person but was blown away by the property. She said she going to suggest that her company hold conferences here in the future. WIN for me!! Lol.
My head is on a swivel. It’s my first time here and it’s an overload. I highly recommend visiting here if you get the chance. My favorite thing so far, not T related, is the wright brothers cycle shop Very cool to see their non airplane life. Tomorrow I’m gonna try to get over to Fairlane and piquette factory.

They have lots of neat things to see. When I'm there for the Old Car Festival I like to take some time to look at the non-car stuff too.

Every kid should spent at least a day there no matter what age.
When did I do that?

Dan, You should try to go there for the Old Car Festival. If you were blown away in this visit, you won't believe what it's like with hundreds of 1932 and earlier cars on display and driving around the Village all day. And then there's the Gaslight Parade on Saturday Evening from about 7:30 to 9pm Many people come and pay the full admission just to see the Gaslight Parade.

Try and take a tour of the Elanor Ford Mansion on the Eastside. That was Edsel's estate. Lots to see and do in Motown.
DIA is worth a stop, along with Belle Isle. Did you take the Rouge Tour?

Re: Our greenfield village tour
We did the rouge tour and the museum today. Yesterday was the village. Tomorrow is our last full day so we r going to try to get to Fairlane and maybe see the Motown museum and possibly the piquette plant.
I tried to get here for the old car festival but this trip was planne around my wife’s work schedule. We coattailed on her trip I’ve come to realize there’s lots to see so I’ll plan another trip. Possibly Christmas time

I’d like to know if the skylight studio (for tintypes) is still there.

Yes the skylight studio is still there, but relocated. When they repaired the village a few years ago, adding paved streets, it was relocated intact.
The Old Car Festival is worth the trip to Detroit all by itself.
Piquette Plant is a great choice for your last day in town.
Great to hear that you are enjoying your trip to Motown.
