Bakersfield swap meet
Day one of the meet was awesome! I found some amazing parts! Hats off to the organizers!
I wish I could stay for Saturday, but work calls, (the curse of the small business owner)
You will not be disappointed if you're going tomorrow!

Re: Bakersfield swap meet
I went on Saturday, and left on Saturday. It was a fine meet and I enjoyed it. I went mainly to visit with people I've known for years. I don't need anything, so I didn't buy anything! It is always nice to see old friends.

I was there Friday morning. Sadly didn't find what I was looking for but did pick up a few other items.

Re: Bakersfield swap meet
Kudos to Steven C. & his band of volunteers For making this happen. Had a good talk with him about what he had to go thru to make it happen & the last minute, surprises. Well done!
BF has always & still is my favorite meet. Prices vary, but there were still plenty of bargains both days. Love the second day price drops.
Even found a few NOS T bits.
Good to catch up with all my car buddies.
Lookin forward to next year.

Re: Bakersfield swap meet
I brought my two sons and two grandsons, and we had a wonderful time. Bought some nice items and sold a few items, too. A great meet, and kudos to Steven Chase and the SCHCC for putting on a great event. We are looking forward to next year. Russ Furstnow

Great job by Steve and crew. I didn't bring any antique parts to sell just my antique dad! Fun times. Looking forward to next year.

It’s true, our 2025 Bakersfield Brass Era - PreWar Swap Meet went surprisingly smoothly. In only 8 weeks we sold all our vendor spaces and at the end shoehorned in a few late comers. And, the $10 buyers kept trickling in finally bringing our coffers into the “black”.
Our biggest worries didn’t seem to materialize because, thanks to all of you, we got all the rigs in efficiently and this year no one left junk behind for the volunteers to contend with.
Thank you all who attended. It was because of you that we did so well. Remember 8 weeks ago, when due to the Bennett family’s tragedy, most of us expected this year’s meet to be just a scaled down simple gathering amounting to no more than a “stepping stone” on our way to “doing it right next year”. But, then you all showed up and had a great time making 2025 as successful as any other Bakersfield Swap Meet. We couldn’t have been more pleased.
Special thanks to Brian Blaine and is Ragtime Racers team, Allen Anderson and the Minter Air Field Museum, the Horseless Carriage Club of Southern California for their sponsorship, and to all those tireless volunteers who helped with the mountain of sweaty logistics required to put on such a big party.
I, for one, really enjoyed being there, visiting with all of you, and hearing your swapping stories. This truly is the West Coast’s premier brass era - prewar event. Cheers to you.

Re: Bakersfield swap meet
Steve and crew, Thanks for all the work to make this happen.
I did pretty good with sales on friday but saturday was pretty bad. Will I be back? YES! and if its going to be at the airport again I'd like the same spaces. I did manage some time to shop and found a few cool items I couldn't live without.
I got to talk with a bunch of fine people and watch airplanes fly!!

Re: Bakersfield swap meet
To Steve & team thanks for making this happen, had a great time, sold some stuff, got sunburned, etc.
Only complaint is that when I arrived home the wife noticed that I had a Model T frame hanging over the PU tailgate.....Doh!
