New Model T Owner

Post by AndyClary » Sun Jun 01, 2025 10:26 pm

Today I said goodbye to Rosie, my ‘26 Coupe. After 24 years it is off to a new home.

Cyrus found us when we hosted a national tour in 2018. As a 17 year old he was amazed by the old cars. Through our club’s free student membership program he became a member and has produced our newsletter for two years. He’s been gathering parts to build a speedster but it’s a slow process and he really wanted a car.

So, I took what he could pay, lost some in the process and we got a new T owner.

It seems you bought that car about the same time Cyrus was born....It was meant to be.

Great job helping out a younger person with the affliction. This is the sort of action that will keep the love of Model T's and the hobby alive long after we are gone. Good on 'ya!

Congratulations to the new owner.
On the subject of new young hobbyests, I have a pretty large pile of Model T stuff in mid Missouri. No fancy or rare stuff just the same variety that everyone has. I will gladly give parts to young folks who are trying to assemble or restore a car.

I'm with 36mike. I've given boxes of spare parts to a local club member who's building a depot hack as a father-son-daughter project. Other club members have made donations to the project too.
