Post by mklooksup » Mon Jun 23, 2025 5:00 pm

Hi everyone,
I need head bolts to use with my RAJO OHV. Does anyone know what to use? Thanks for your suggestions.

For my overhead, I prefer using studs rather than bolts. With studs I can be sure of getting full engagement with the threads in the block. Hopefully that lessens the likelihood of stripping them out. I install the studs with anti-seize to make sure I can get them out again. Not sure the length needed for your RAJO but for my Fronty, I ordered the Model A studs that go through the water outlet area, they are 5 3/4". Snyder's shows them at $2.50 each.

Hello: I used https://arp-bolts.com/. I used them on my 4 valve Rajo and my 8 valve overhead DePaul. I cleaned each block hole and measured the depth and wrote it down. Measure the thickness of the head gasket and write that down. measure the thickness of the head and write that down too. Call them they may have something close in stock. They have high quality products. Gary

PS: Yes that was a thick head.
