Did Howell's Sheet Metal change names?

Post by schwabd1 » Wed Jun 25, 2025 10:58 pm

Trying to pull up some information on Howell's Sheet Metal and a company comes up, Antique Auto Manufacturing. Both are in Beaumont, Texas. Did they change names, Sell out? Anybody deal with Antique Auto Manufacturing? Or is it the same run around?

I'm sure its still the same company, just trying to change their image by changing their company name. I do know that they go by a different name on EBAY. I know their reputation has flaws, but say what you want; there aren't many (if any) companies making the products that they make, and if the owner retires or dies, the hobby is going to have a supplier "hole" to fill, that may not be filled.

I have bought several items from them but I do it on Ebay and never had any problems. Their Ebay name is 09-40 Ford Sheet Metal.

I’m hoping they will still make T sheet metal. There isn’t many other folks if any making T sheet metal body panels and etc that I know of. In some ways old car hobbies are changing. Supply and demand for later ‘old cars’ and classic cars sell for more money and the demand for parts for them is where more money can be made.
There will be interest in T’s and hopefully more than just one company will step up making T body panels and related parts.

Many of these companies don't make one part at a time, they save orders till there are enough to warrant a run because of setup time.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Howell's isn't the only one. Some members on this forum have done the same to me.
