Vanderbrink Auction with 1915 Couplette body and other T parts and cars

Post by dobro1956 » Fri Jul 11, 2025 12:18 am

Vanderbrink Auctions has an online only estate auction coming up in Montana It has lots of early stuff with some Model T cars and parts cars. Other early cars. 1909 REO is oldest to 1960s era with some later stuff. A huge auction with a good selection of cars, trucks, tractors, hit miss engines and other unique stuff. There is a 1915 Couplette body that appears pretty good for sitting outside. it is lot # 312MA , A very rare body .... Lots of other 20s 30s era cars and trucks including 1926 Lincoln and other early Lincolns ... Just lots of good stuff ...

Ill try to post a link to the auction listing. It is the Montana Barn Finds Auction. Maybe some of you Montana folks can save some of the T stuff.

It always amuses me how auctioneers and other uneducated people throw around the term, "Barn Find ", as vanderbrink did in the title of this auction. If all these items, or even just those on wheels that could roll, were found in a barn, that barn would have to be the size of an aircraft manufacturing facility !

A lot of these cars were inside. There are pictures with the cars inside and also showing the buildings. Lots of them are outside.

Gene. I would love to go. The Couplet body, the Lincolns, the Yellowstone busses, the 1909 REO. I would be dangerous if I had money 💰💰🤑

I don't think he couplet body is a T model body, if that makes a difference. Notice the decklid and the dashboard.

Maybe you are seeing #156M. That looks like a Dodge coupe body.
#312MA does appear to be a couplet body. But, I am no expert.

Terry, while I realize what you are trying to say, I will tell you that Miss Yvette ranks right up there with as much (-or more) knowledge about Ts and collector vehicles than many participants who are on these forums. This is really big business for her, and she is arguably the leading Auctioneer throughout this entire country for handling & disbursing collector car estates. Her resume' is unreal at what vehicles she has sold over the years and what $$ they fetched. My guess is the reason why the term 'Barn Find' was used is/was more as a marketing tool to attract potential Bidders who search the internet for 'Barn Find' automobiles.

This really is a barn find situation. This stuff was in barns & sheds. When I was there a couple of weeks ago they had a crew still pulling stuff out. It is an amazing collection of iron not to mention all the small stuff. There is a lot less T stuff than I had hoped but many of the cars and trucks are really unique. I already have a bid in on a tractor.
