Re: Rolla or Bust
A nice day for driving the local area here in Rolla today. I had to make a quick trip east on Hwy 44 to pick up some chrome plating I had done and spent about 2.5 hrs and 60 miles doing so. I got back in time to meet up at the local Lions park for pictures, and a great meal that the Chamber of Commerce had for us tonight. There is a chance of rain tonight so everyone headed back to tuck the cars in for the night and get ready for our trip to Salem, Mo tomorrow.

Re: Rolla or Bust
It was a fine day here in mid MO. A bit over 130 miles and 4.5 hrs of driving time thru the rolling hills of the Ozarks.
I heard that there were no problems and everyone made it back without much trouble.

Re: Rolla or Bust
We went to Waynseville, MO passing thru several small towns, and great scenery. Our first stop was at Devil’s elbow on the Big Piney river while driving ove some Route 66 pavement. A well maintained thru truss bridge made for some nifty photos. Then of to the tourist hot spot known as Uranus, for a sideshow museum, fudge and ice cream. We hit the Neon park in Robertsville before heading to lunch in Waynseville. On the way back, John and I detoured off the planned route and found ourselves an adventure thru the Kaintuck Conservation area. Gravel, one lane road thru the woods along the stream made for some great Model T road driving.

Re: Rolla or Bust
A few more from today
Decided to convert to b&w for the last ones today
Just over 340 miles and just over 12.5 hours driving time over 4 days.
This was my first Hillbilly tour and I had a great time meeting new friends and catching up with some old ones. I’m looking forward to next year.
