Transporting Model TT with C-Cab

Post by clee2 » Wed Oct 01, 2025 8:13 pm

I am looking around to purchase a Model TT with C-Cab and while looking I am wondering. What is the best way to transport a C-Cab on a flat open trailer where the roof will not be ripped off by the wind. Do you strap down the top of the roof to secure if down further. Back in onto the trailer so the wind hits the solid portion of cab or just wrap a tarp around the cab and strap it down. Any help would be appreciated.

NO TARPS at all! No matter how well you tie them down, they will abrade the paintwork wherever they make contact. It is easier to get bugs of than put new paint on.

I have never trailered TT cannot help with load distribution

in '06 dad and I went from California to Texas to get a 'Very Good Condition' C Cab Truck. Flat bed Trailer.. It has the Aerodynamics of a Cardboard Box!..

We took the Floor Boards and the Seat Cushions out.. Our Cab was already attached down to the Window Frame to help stop the 'C-Crack' that always happens with a Metal Cab C-Cab..
