Klaxon-20 6v horn question
Anyone know about this horn. It has 3 terminals and is marked 6v.

Hello Bill,
Looking at your photos, I see 2 terminals. All the Klaxon horns I have, or have seen, have only 2 terminals. Most of them have a third "screw" for adjusting the tone / volume of the horn. Removing the motor cover should show the wires from the terminals to the motor and the adjusting screw.

That's the biggest Klaxon, for a real loud sound, your T will ahooga like a Packard

Somewhere, I have instructions for Klaxons where the motor armature is offset 90 degrees from the bell like yours. However, I'd have to find them.
I have a combination Klaxon. On my horn, the split male prongs 180 degrees from each other are the terminals. When new, there were corresponding female plugs that went on the split male prongs. I see at least one split prong your your horn.
On my horn, the knurled cap on top is a spring-loaded oiler cover - if you pull it straight up and it reveals a hole whereby you can add a couple drops of light weight oil (like 3-in-One or sewing machine oil). I presume your oiler is identical. If not, either twist or completely unscrew the cap.
To adjust the sound/tension on this style of Klaxon, loosen the jamb-nut between the motor housing and diaphragm/mechanism housing and rotate the motor housing clockwise or counter clockwise.

Thanks for the replys guys I really appreciate it. Do you think it's 6v DC or 6V AC like a Magneto type?

Before taking it apart, try decreasing the tension by loosening the jamb nut and rotating the motor an eighth of a turn at a time. I believe rotating it counter-clockwise decreases the tension.
