Proudly proclaiming nothing
Ok here’s another one
New to me ‘25 touring with what seems like a dash plaque, small galvanized steel (?) rectangle riveted to the firewall just southeast of the buzzer box. I squinted both eyes then winked left and right and still can’t see any engraving on it.
Any thoughts?

'25 should be a 2 rivet data plate.

Well that is what I get for quoting the Langs and Snyders and Chaffins web site information.
The MTFCI Judging Standards lists the 1925 Patent plate as the 1926 style with 2 rivets and notched corners

But the OP photo shows 4 rivets.
It also has the improved transmission ears, albeit w/o the two screws.

And the #3 coil is put in backwards. A lot of things can be changed over 100 years.
It also has a 1926 steering column.

Gotta love the "DIY" head gasket oozing out the joint too!

Re: Proudly proclaiming nothing
Let's see a photo of the doors - the door hinges will be the same length on a '25 - if the lower hinge is protruding farther out at the bottom, it could be a '24, also '25 cars had steel firewall uprights - not wooden. A true '25 will have a single rear top window.

Re: Proudly proclaiming nothing
Thank you all! I guess it just the patent plate faded over time. I'll order a new plate and replace it when it comes time to make everything perdy.
Yes I'm embarassed to see in my picture I put in #3 coil backwards! We're working on it and I just temporarily pulled them out and put them back. But rest assured we're going through the whole box and contacts and will assemble it correctly!!
Interesting about the door hinges, thank you! They do appear to be the same size and not protruding farther. And yes steel firewall supports. The engine is numbered to be September 1925. The two man top has a split window, but I would guess it is not a 100 year old original but maybe was replaced 20 or 30 years ago.
It's funny that my '20 touring which was turned into a pickup still has a robe rail for the now non-existant rear seat, while this '25 touring which does have a rear seat lacks the robe rail of my pickup!
And yes the copper gasket covered in liquid gasket ooze took significant persuading from a hammer and a plastic upholstery chisel to release! We're going with the more modern replacement gasket so hopefully won't need extra ooze!

Re: Proudly proclaiming nothing
September 1925 Serial number is a 1926 model engine and body car.
It should be called the early '26 style.
Maybe a picture of the body and fenders would help identify it.
1926 production started August 3rd 1925
But the block is an earlier style.
After 100 years a large amount of the Model T's are a bit mixed up.
While it is not really a problem, be careful ordering parts to get the version you actually need.
Most of us install some version of a waterproof coil box kit in our driver cars for reliability.
The robe rail was always an aftermarket accessory, it never came standard on a Model T.
Interesting it is on your pickup and not your touring.
Maybe moving it is in the future?
