No we did not go to see the USGA Mid-Am finals. This is not a golf channel.
Four cars drove from Milwaukee to Erin to see Holy Hill. The group from the south agreed to meet me at Krogers, and low and behold we arrived at the same time. Like to try that again.
We then headed north amid corn fields and soybean fields through the rolling countryside west of Milwaukee. Wisconsin has what are called 'Rustic Roads' which I meant to be driven slowly so you can enjoy the scenery as you drive by. We arrived at a location marked with a sign that states Spectacular Sculpture. I have seen these signs where I live and a friend finally took me there. Wow, I think it is pretty cool. A man and his wife have created a few sculptures and placed them among his property. You can drive in his driveway in a loop, or you can park wherever you like and walk through the display.
I hope you enjoy them. Then we will continue on with our drive to Holy Hill.
On the road again, but this time just to Erin, WI

A fifth car joined us at this location. Then we proceeded onward. Now the drive got a bit tougher. We were driving through the part of WI where the glaciers deposited part of their loads. It created what is known as the Kettle Moraine area. The roads go round and round and up and down. You need to make sure you have good bands because you will be driving in low on occasion. One of our drivers had issues with his car. We changed the coils, replaced the spark plugs, and he eventually made it. However, he is probably going to have to change his low band. It was just too much for his car. He ended up having it towed home. We will have to have a meeting in his garage to replace the band.
Some of us went in to the Holy Hill Basilica. Mass was in progress, so I am including a photo from the internet. I climbed one of the towers and took a few photos. We were also not aware that this was the weekend for their huge craft fair. The church parking lot was empty, but the traffic was a mess. They had remote parking and busses bringing people to the numerous tents spread all over the grounds. There was also a major accident and traffic was rerouted. We managed OK.

I did not count the steps to the top, but I was huffing and puffing by the time I got up there.
Enjoy the view.
Enjoy the view.

Afterwards we went to a restaurant called Ox and Cats. We did not order ice cream, but did have nice meals of Chicken Parmesan, Hamburger, and Chicken Burger, served with delicious tater tots, and one party ordered fried cheese curds for all of us to share.
Then we headed home.
I am now including two shots of a corporate headquarters based near my home. Who can tell me who it is? They are nationwide and probably everyone here has shopped there more than once. Sorry. No prize awarded other than your satisfaction in knowing the answer.

Hi Dave, That's a nice tour report. Concerning the climb to the tower at Holy Hill, there's a sign at the bottom that says it's 178 steps to the top. No wonder you were out of breath!!!
