bailing wire nut?

Post by Mustang1964s » Tue Nov 10, 2020 8:17 am

I ran across this front axle.
This is kind of scary, I just can think how things could have gone wrong.
bailing wire, talk about a field fix.

A temporary although questionable fix to get you where you're going. On the other hand, it was probably put on there before you were born and it's still there ;)

The wire is probably all rusted up together tight, so ......... technically it is a rusted on nut.
I also think he, ......... "nailed it" ........ right as a good repair.

I saw that and just had to post it.
Just when you think you have seen it all, then the Model T still surprises.
