A freind is working on the rebuild of a 1909 two levers two pedals nr489.
I have a rebuild late 1909/10 coil ring.
Can this coil ring be build in this 1909 engine.
The photo in attachement is the 1910 rebuild coil ring. The only difference I can see in my books are the early have holes in the support and mine is plain.
Can someone out ther help us with this?

Re: Eary magneto coil ring
Parts book shows in 1912 the list of parts for the first 2500, the magneto is not listed, but,
In 1911 with the recommendation of substituting magneto of later design, coil and fly wheel for cars up to 20500.
I did read at some time that the magneto was up graded because those tin ones would flex to much.
