Oil funnel twisting
When removing the magneto ring from the engine, I noticed the oil funnel wanting to twist along with the hold down bolt. I am pretty sure it will try and do the same thing upon installation. Is there a way to prevent the twisting? 23 T..Thanks..Tommy

Hold it in place with two fingers of your other hand.

You could also smear on a little grease where the bolt will turn against it.

Re: Oil funnel twisting
Thanks for the responses. I did try to hold it when removing the bolt, but it wouldn't let go. Maybe installing it will work better. I guess it isn't a common problem. The grease sounds like a good idea. Thanks again..Tommy

Re: Oil funnel twisting
Put a washer under the nut and the nut will turn with the washer only, a little grease like Steve said will help with it as well. Frank

Re: Oil funnel twisting
If you put a washer under the nut, it effectively makes the bolt a little shorter. If you don’t have enough thread engagement, you risk stripping the threads out of the block when you torque the bolt. Be very mindful of that.

Just safety wired bolts, no nuts.
