Hi
I have a 26 Canadian coupe, all original sitting outside. I will try to take some pictures. Maybe send me a PM (I assume that is still possible)

Mike, the sill plates changed over the 26-27 model year. The picture I posted is of a mid year 1926 canadian coupe. There are no reproductions of this one. The material is solid zinc or similar metal. It does not polish up, and is a kind of an unatractive grey. My guess is some young engineer showed Ford his prototype, and Ford swore at him, threw it on the ground and stepped on it, the rest is history.
