That is a “go big or go home” bow in the girls hair. Nice picture. I think it says something about how proud these families were of their Model Ts that they include them in family photos. Even with the convenience of today’s cameras, I don’t think many of today’s families take the time to include the family SUV in photos.

One of my biggest thrills in life was at that age sitting on a leather seat and holding a wood steering wheel. I try to pass on the experience any chance I get. I'm guessing the occasion was to photograph the new 1914 T.

The child at the wheel looks very happy. The others, look a bit stern. However, I realize it might have been a time exposure, and pictures in those days were expensive, so they tried to keep very straight and still.

Don't forget the pillow behing her back so she doesn't slide away from the steering wheel when she hits the brakes!

Remember the kid in the movie "O Brother where art thou"? He sat on a Sears and Montgomery Ward catalog and had wooden blocks attached to the pedals.
