Starter and Generator Field Coil sizes

Post by OilyBill » Mon Mar 08, 2021 3:35 pm

I have just taken apart my 1927 T Couple starter and generator.
I had bought replacement field coils for both of them.
Once I got them apart, I noticed the new field coils are much smaller than the originals.
Do they work as well? Do they burn out faster? Any difference in performance?
Anyone have any input on these new replacement field coils, good or bad?
Thanks in advance!
