23-25 Firewall

Is this a 1923-25 Firewall? I am not aware of any differences between these years, so would like to know from others. Thanks

There are several differences. The patent plate for a '25 is mounted with two split rivets. A '24 uses four. The felt cushion at the top of the firewall is mounted with five split rivets on a '24. It's mounted with three on a '25. They may have altered the mixture hole some in '25 too, cause I had to grind some of mine to the late style carburetor adjustment to fit.

It's a high firewall, so it's not a '23. Dave
1925 mostly original coupe.

Larry, based upon your description, this one appears to be a 1925, so that would make it incorrect for my March 1924 Touring car. There are three smaller holes along the top portion and there are two small holes where the data plate would go. Please take a look here and let me know what you think.

The data plate question got me to check out my 24 Coupe and the 2 high radiator (25) firewalls that I have.
The Coupe has the 4 rivet data plate and the 25 firewalls have the 2 rivet data plates.

After checking the parts suppliers catalogs they show the 4 rivet plates for the 19-25 cars.
The 2 rivet plates are listed for the 26-27 cars. Are the suppliers wrong about their info?
The 2 firewalls I have have the 2 rivet data plates but they aren’t 26-27 firewalls.

This makes me think again that when Ford made the transition from one year to another
things weren’t always clear cut.
So maybe Ford started using the 2 rivet data plates in 25 and on into 26-27.

Ford TT trucks utilized the '25 style firewall through '27 so the reason for also using the 2 rivet data plate.

Our '25 coupe (titled as a'24) has the two rivet data plate. Also, steel framed doors, two rivet e-brake quadrant, and the intregal belt line moulding along with some other '25 features that I don't recall right now. Dave
1925 mostly original coupe.

My late 24 Coupe (September) has wood framed doors and was often mistaken for a 25 by the inspection stations receipts my Grandfater kept over the years. The data plates along with a few other crossover changes makes it hard to say which year is exactly which.
I have always thought a T was ‘most pure’ when they were made in the middle of the production year. After that is when the minor changes started so who knows. Just my opinion.

Another thing to consider, is the bell crank. The 1925's used the bell crank up until around April, and then switched to the 1926 style. However, the two holes for it are still there. For those who are unfamiliar with the installation of the patent plate, they use the same exact rivet used for the hood lacing.
