Things you find when taking car apart

Thought this was cool, mostly clear ink/paint stamp on inside. Also on the wood behind rear seat are chalk/wax pencil 19 and wavy line.

Very interesting!
Where was this part located? Is this an original Ford part? I wasn't aware that Ford had a factory in Portsmouth, NH. Or am I assuming the wrong place?
Was this off a contract body such as a Boudette?

It's an original Ford part, it's a rear seat pillar or door hinge support off a 1923 touring body, I think it is Portsmouth, Ohio.

Were there any steel companies in the that town? Maybe that was the mill that rolled the steel supplied to Ford, not the ones that stamped it.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Yes, I would think there were steel mills everywhere in Ohio.

I found an old cotton work glove behind the ignition switch in my 27 TT. It appears that the old wires were shorting out
against the dash so the quick fix looked like it had lasted for years.
