What's the best method to remove stains from original plated rims without taking off the finish?
The exhaust has discolored my spare tire rim from years of riding on the back of the car.
I tried brake clean.... which did remove some of it. Is there another thing I can spray?
The pic is of two rims stacked together.

We have an aluminised paint called Silva-frost. It's finish is a dead ringer for the original electro zinc plating.Just apply a new coat each time the problem gets to you.

That sounds a lot like a paint we have here made by “Sherwin Williams” called “Silver Brite”. It is a metal roof paint so it has to be very durable and is the closest thing I have seen to brite silver plating. Bumpers look great when painted with “Silver Brite”. Jim Patrick
