Re: Southern Peach Ts & Russ Furstnow - Educational Opportunity
It's always good to see a local Model T club with a website, or even just email. Too many, especially MTFCI chapters, are firmly stuck in a previous century with nothing but snail mail.
The inevitable often happens.

You’re absolutely right Steve - and although the Southern Peach Ts is a relatively new MTFCA Chapter - they are certainly on the ball- their website is great and they’re already setting up T training topics.
Hoping folks takes advantage of the speedometer presentation.

I already have a commitment that day. Any chance it will be recorded and can be watched at another time?

Thank you Southern Peach T's for doing this educational Zoom Video. Rus Furstnow is the Guru on Model T Speedometers. I would encourage all who can to participate.
My son is getting Married this Sunday at 2pm and I will not be able to Zoom with you. I have a 14 T Touring with just married on the back to take to the wedding.

Re: Southern Peach Ts & Russ Furstnow - Educational Opportunity
David and George,
I’ve talked to our Secretary, Lee Butts, who sets up and hosts the zoom meetings. We do plan on recording the event and posting a link on our website.
I’ll share the link if we successfully make the magic happen,
Darin

The meeting needs to be set up with an invite only . It should not be available to anyone on or off FB.

The meeting was sabotaged and I think is starting over with a password. I thought it was peach, but that doesn't work. Anybody know what it is?

Re: Southern Peach Ts & Russ Furstnow - Educational Opportunity
He said that peach was the password, but the saboteurs HEARD him, because none were muted fast enough. Most Zoom meetings I have attended were invites only with a link sent to your email and you were then allowed in.Steve Jelf wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 1:21 pmThe meeting was sabotaged and I think is starting over with a password. Maybe they could do a small closed meeting and record it....then post the replay for the rest of us to learn from. That way it could not be hacked.

Re: Southern Peach Ts & Russ Furstnow - Educational Opportunity
Well that was an experience and got spicy quick. The Southern Peach T’s have had several online meetings before but have never had trolls/hackers interrupt a meeting. We apologize for the negative experience and difficulties. Our first attempt at bringing value to the national club, and it’s members, resulted a less than desirable first impression. I take full responsibility.
Major learning curve for the first educational session and we’ve already figured out solutions to, hopefully, prevent issues like this in the future.
The good news is Russ is unflappable. We reset, he is teaching now uninterrupted, and he’s doing a great job! Lee will piece together the entire education session and we will post it for viewing, in the near future. I’ll let you all know when it’s available.
Thank you for your time,
Darin

Darin, thank you and your team for persevering. While I was not able to view the live presentation, I will be sure to catch the recording once posted.
