I watched a very special short video story about a Chevy at: https://youtu.be/c4-oyBnknHk It brought back a flood of memories of times gone by when my parents and grandparents were all still with us. Sweet memories of walking barefoot on the sandy dirt road that ran by grandma’s house. Going for rides in the 1918 on a Saturday afternoon and then pulling under the shade of the big pecan tree. Cold sweet tea and if we were lucky, ice cream or watermelon. And dad would let me drive the T around the yard by myself long before he would let me out on the street. Below is a picture of my parents, my mom’s parents and my sister when they went for a ride in that same 1918 back around 1950. Dad was stationed with the Air Force in Texas and I wasn’t around yet.
And fast forward about 40 years and below is a photo of me and my two daughters in that same car at my parent’s house. The same house where I grew up and the same pecan trees we used sit under and drink our ice tea. Somehow when air conditioning came along and it was July or August, we switched to drinking the tea inside the house rather than outside in the shade. But the T was still a lot of fun to take for spin. Dad and I enjoyed our rides, talks and catching up on things.
If it has been a while since you had some sweet memories stirred in your heart, I would suggest take a look at that video at : https://youtu.be/c4-oyBnknHk and see if takes you back to a dirt road, a fishing hole, or riding in a T.
Merry Christmas,

Re: The T’s are special to me because of the memories…
I don't know why, but it takes me back to the Central Valley heat of an August afternoon, stopping in Sanger CA for peach ice cream in a year-old 1954 Plymouth Plaza station wagon. Mom and her sisters reminisced for years about how good that ice cream was on a hot day.
Thanks, Hap.

My Model T Memories don’t go back as far as most folks.
My “ putt putt “ moment came when I met Jay for the
first time when JK recommended me for a museum transport.
Over years I have met so many kind - generous - caring - sharing
Model T Family Folks in my travels across the country.
