The largest bottles I've ever seen were about 5 gallons capacity .... not nearly large enough to drink Coca Cola in. Interesting idea though.

Awesome pictures! The picture of the US mail truck is in the south central Missouri Ozarks. The towns of Arlington, Hooker, and Devils Elbow are along the Big Piney River just east of Fort Leonard Wood. Route 66 came through Devils Elbow. The old bridge and a section of the highway have been preserved and is just a short drive from the interstate.

I liked seeing the picture of the Coalinga Motor Stage and the 1912 Model T. The trip from Coalinga Ca to Fresno Ca only takes under 90 minutes today but in the teens and early twenties it was a half day. I once knew a fellow that made the trip from Fresno to Coalinga as a 10 year old boy with his family, in the family’s well worn 1914 T, in the early 1920’s. He would remember the trip because they left for the coast, with a over night stay in Coalinga. The last part of the trip to Coalinga was after dark and the lights kept blowing out due to low gas pressure in the Prestolite tank, so it was only moon light and side lites to get to Coalinga.
