Transport 26 Coupe from WI top MT

Post by dbuelke » Mon Apr 01, 2019 12:12 pm

In the dissolution of a family estate, there is a 26 Coupe of my granddad's located in Wisconsin rightfully belonging to my nephew. He's at a stage in life where he has neither space nor the assets to perform any restoration at this time and I offered to try to retrieve it and "get it running" for him. I don't think it's been started for 30 years and don't know what shape the tires are in, but presumably could be winched onto a trailer. I'm looking for suggestions, offers, or avenues to evaluate the feasibility of accomplishing this goal. I live in far western Montana.

Go there to work on it

Does your nephew live close to where the car is ?

Go where the car is & work on it with your nephew.

Teach him about the mechanics - if you get it running then show him how to drive.

I agree with Jim. Where does your nephew live? Also, about how old is he? Is he mechanically inclined? This info will help to get the best results for you.
