1925 Coupe Drivers Side Window Regulator….

Post by MichaelPawelek » Mon Feb 07, 2022 2:58 pm

Does anyone know of a source for a 1925 coupe, driver side window regulator? Mine works very smoothly but when the window is rolled to the top it wants to roll down a couple inches on its own and the regulator has a lot of play in it.

The online catalogs show a 1926 regulator which is held onto the door with three machine screws whereas on the 1925 there are five screws. I’m checking with Lange’s old parts and will put an ad here on the site but was wondering if anyone knew of another source. Thank you.

The one in the door is either the 17200 FX or
17201 FX which ever number is for the left door.

I’m assuming your 25 Coupe has metal framed doors. That might be a factor because of the metal framed doors.
I have a late 24 Coupe that has wood framed doors. It took me 2 years to find a used one and I had to fix it but I found one! I’ve read the 26 regulator can be adapted to fit the 25 closed cars. Never tried it but it might.
I hope that someone can help you that has a regulator that will fit. No one is making regulators for the 25 and back closed cars. Yours may can be repaired if you have to do it.

This is a early ‘25 Coupe and there is no wood in the door. This is just a minor nuisance now and during rain I use a short bungee chord to keep the handle from moving and the window closed so I will just keep searching into the furur.

I have a email sent to Langs and maybe they will have a answer.
