Needing a Junk Transmission Drum

Post by dunoon » Mon Feb 07, 2022 5:35 pm

I need a trans drum to use for checking roundness of bands anything will do as long as the drum surface is OK. Tried to find one here where I live but, no luck, let me know what ya have, width doesn't matter. Thanks

Interesting the subject came up as I was just watching a model t tips video on transmission band relining. The guy in the video was using a axle brake drum to check roundness. Iam assuming it was a small drum axle but I don’t know the diameter. Maybe someone here knows?

Why not just cut a disc out of plywood to the size of the drum you need to set roundness
