Available parts.
In the ordering of Model T parts from the vendors, which parts have you found are almost impossible to get these days, have been discontinued, or are subject to incredibly long waits? Jim Patrick

Re: Available parts.
Many Model T parts are specialties made by one guy or one source and sold by all the dealers. When that one guy dies or that one source goes belly up, you see a lot of "not available at this time".
The inevitable often happens.

26 rear brake drum, Scandinavian linings for 26. I get the impression that parts availability peaked a couple of years ago.

Re: Available parts.
When John Regan had FP he made a lot of great products....I was fortunate to be able to get what I needed before the supply dried up. Birdhaven hasn't announced any plans to put the many items back into production so I hope they are not gone forever. I would hope Birdhaven would either come up with a plan to resume production or offer the product line to someone else who could resurrect it. There is a market for them and I know of people who would be willing to produce many of the items for Birdhaven if they would allow it.

Re: Available parts.
Well, that last one is not "fair" as they (AFAIK) have never been reproduced. The frustrating thing is when one supplier sells his business to someone else, and then they don't put it into production, or drop the quality. Can't fault the original producer, I am certain that he/she tried to find a reputable new owner. And then things change in ones life, sometimes unexpectedly.
Of course, the standard blame nowadays is "Covid!"
