Thanks Rich. Without this index These old posts for the most part stay dead and buried. I have found that the onsite search feature is pretty much useless for exhuming these old posts.

My gripe is that the club doesn’t see the need to make this part of the website archives. Jay has hundreds of hours in these posts. These and also rare literature people take the time to scan and post. They are a non profit and a goal should be an education resource and not just hawking do-dad souvenirs and T shirts.

I agree that this Model T accessory compilation should be archived on the main club page. I avidly put MANY hundreds of hours in researching, photographing the items, and scanning a ton of related literature from my personal library. There is nothing in print that covers Model T accessories as in depth as these post do.

If you type into the google search engine the name of a Model T accessory then leave a space and type in all capital letters MTFCA chances are you will find a accessory of the day I posted of it. These posts allow people with bits and pieces of accessories to find photos of the complete unit along with in some cases the original instruction sheets and included paperwork.

I still have close to two hundred more accessories I could have kept posting but the old forum format was discontinued before I could finish. The new format lacks the bulletin board give and take of the old format and doesn't lend itself to the flow of the old forum so I lost interest in continuing.

I guess I’m not smart enough to know what archives are. This is where I meant they should be. I’ve posted booklet after booklet for many years and I’d never be able to find them again.

Thank you for posting the links to the collective posts. They remind me of perusing the JC Whitney catalogs a few decades ago. Lots of cool ingenious stuff.

Well I am concerned all of Jay's work does not get 'lost in the threads' as well. This index from Jay is great, but it can get lost too.

My solution: setting up each one in the Gallery section under: 'Aftermarket Items' https://mtfca.com/phpBB3/app.php/gallery/album/75.

Approach: Put up pictures, add Jay's (and others' comments with citation), state which post they came from and provide the link to the original post (because there is so much more info in the post than the Gallery can accommodate).

Benefit: we can see each item, and quickly select one from one source. Also, the items are 'backed up' in that they appear twice on the forum in case older posts become corrupted, unavailable or deleted over time.

Progress: I have 'converted' a few to get a feel to see how this works. Have a look!

I am more than happy to do this (over time) but let me know if this is OK and suitable to preserve this record.

I have an idea, could be dangerous since I don't know how to use the Gallery.
Maybe post the 500+ photos of the items in the Gallery and then include the link with each picture.
That's got to be a lot more work.

What made me think of it is that I made those 100+ Model T movie cartoons and more not posted yet.
I was thinking about finally reading up on those Gallery instructions.

Update: The list of 'converted' items to the Gallery has cracked 560 and closing in on the target. I have been able to 'harvest' as few more accessories from some of the posts and present them in their own Gallery items.
