1913 / 14 Runabout Side Curtain Photos Needed
Can anyone provide me with detailed pictures of either original, -or reproduction side curtains for a 13/14 Runabout please? I am interested in how the curtain(s) were cut where they attached to the windshield frame & firewall, and how they attached around the top irons.
TIA!!
TIA!!

Re: 1913 / 14 Runabout Side Curtain Photos Needed
I see a link posted to my old pictures (thanks Mark) but they can't be zoomed in on so I will repost the side curtain shots here in full size. This is a 1913 that was last registered in 1928 and has its original side curtains. I put the top up for the first time in who knows how long so it took a few weeks for it to stretch and looks bad because I didn't want to damage the original top. I then installed the side curtains and they were a perfect fit and all fasteners were in the right place. This was the only time I installed the side curtains so far so these are the only pictures I have. Note that someone in the past fixed one broken window by sewing in some material that they had that was black.
Give an old car guy a barn and he won't throw anything away.

I have the Ford print for the front left side. It's pretty involved. One thing to consider is all 1913 windshields are not the same, therefor, the front side curtain will differ for each.

Thanks Larry. The pictures above are referencing a Touring, -and I was actually inquiring about a Runabout. Maybe the same??Original Smith wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 11:04 amI have the Ford print for the front left side. It's pretty involved. Is your print an Assembly Drawing or individual prints for each piece of the curtain??

Brent,
Would original 1915 roadster side curtains be helpful to you?
We have a set that was donated to our Club recently.
They are too stiff to use but are perfect for patterns.

Are you saying you didn't see any drawings at Benson Research Center for a 13/14 Runabout, -or you never saw mention of Ford producing curtains for a 13/14 Runabout??

I can't believe no one has noticed the shape of the top at the rear bow. It is different than the '14 on up. Oh well. The size of the rear window is 1/4" wider than the accepted measurement too. Oh well again.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
