Thanks!

Re: How much torque?
Perhaps more important than the torque applied to the wrist pin bolts is how that torque is applied. The piston/rod assembly needs to be held by the wrist pin when torquing the pin bolt. I have two dummy spiggots which go in each end of the wrist pin, and then the whole is held in a vice while the bolt is tightened. Otherwise you run the real risk of twisting the rod if it is held while the bolt is tightened.
Hope this helps.

Re: How much torque?
Some who like to use a torque value say 30lbs. I still do it Henry's way of by feel, Also as Allan has posted, hold by wrist pin when tightening the bolt, the pin is hollow so slide onto a phillips screw driver in a vice, also remember that the wrist pin bolt faces the cam shaft when assembling engine.

Re: How much torque?
I use a piece of rod held in the vice and go by feel also, using an original Ford wrench.
Adding: Forgot because I have not used it yet, I have a piston vice.

Re: How much torque?
Just like mine Toon. They hold the pin tightly with no slop at all.

Re: How much torque?
I also use a piston vice & a rod through the pin. Rod bolt nuts I also hand tighten by feel - I assume if one's intent on utilizing a torque wrench, I believe a grade 5 bolt is 6-8 lbs. per 1/8" - Model T rod bolts are 3/8" so close to 24 foot lbs.
