Needing help with a restoration in St. Louis

Post by andyknudsen » Sun Sep 18, 2022 4:32 pm

I posted this in Services, but not sure if it belongs there or here, so here it is:

After about 5 years in climate controlled storage I am looking to get my 1917 Touring road trip worthy. It was running off battery when I stored it, was fine for cross-town jaunts, but magneto was failing and it needed new bands. It also needs a new canvas top. Looking to upgrade to Rocky Mountain brakes , fix a badly leaking axle, also leaking oil pretty bad at the rear of the engine at the pan, as well as need to swap out the wheels for demountables. While I can do minor upgrades myself I am not equipped for major work and am looking for some help to get me there. Prefer someone local or not too far away from St. Louis. Please feel free to shoot me a message if interested in a project. Happy to trailer it somewhere. Thanks.

You got a RSVP in Services https://mtfca.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=31720
BUT 1 day sooner and you could have met them.
Model t Club of St. Louis is having their annual swap meet at Chesterfield Plaza. Sunday 9/18/22 Back side of old Sears building.
Chesterfield, Mo.
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
