Differential Enhancements

Not breaking any new ground here, but since the speedster diff was illuminated and clean, the photos show a couple of modifications that make maintenance, and the eventual sale of the car, a bit easier: brass pipe thread drain plug, and brass "bronze thrust' ID tag.

Great idea. Could save new owners down the line worry and time.

Good idea for a speedster. It doesn't have to be exactly as Ford built it. Not good for a show car though.

Some past owner put a plug in mine. I left it but haven't used it much.

When did I do that?

I think “show car” left this forum a long time ago Norm.

Chris, Thanks for posting a great idea!! The tag is a super idea and the drain plug will be very useful someday. I'm not sure who would deduct a point for a little tag?? I like the use of a flush plug even if it needs a hex allen wrench. I use the same style plug on the bottom of my Warford just for safety clearance.

I sure wish I had thought of the drain plug idea many years ago when I did the Dif on my Torpedo..
