Model T food truck/ Touring car.

Here’s a 1919 photo of a food truck. It’s a 1919 but it’s a touring car.
They have it set up pretty neat going by the way they have the food shelves.

The caption under the photo read “food truck” so for some folks that what it was.
I don’t know if that’s an early coffee pot but maybe it was either tea or water.

That is one of my favorite photos. It's nice to see it. Someone noticed a door on the driver's side on a previous thread and Jay - In Northern California posted this accessory:

The Shorpy version describes it as "Washington, D.C., in 1919. "Street lunch vendor." A Model T sandwich-vending machine".

When I saw it on another old photo site I was thinking it might have been around before! It’s a really neat photo of people using their T as a public vending truck. Pretty good photography for the time.

It has been here more than once, but many haven't seen it or have forgotten. Many like this one deserves to return to these pages.
I saw 50 instances of it being posted on various sites, so it is one of the popular ones. There are many things to like about it. Not the least is the cowl lamp door fallen down. How typical.

No worries for the kerosene cowl lamp. They have a spotlight ! And bumpers !!
I enjoy this photo every time it comes up. Wouldn't you live to get a sammidge and a cuppa "joe" from those ladies ?

It’s a first for me! Nice picture. Is there a hand print on the hood near the cowl and on the hood latch? Maybe it’s got a manifold cooker going under there. Very nice

Another of my legendary lost bookmarks, this car, and the ladies, were discussed somewhere on this forum some years back. I lack the skills (or temperament?) to find much of what I try to search for. As I recall, there was a bit more information available about the car and the ladies.

That is a favorite picture of mine, too.
From that angle, only the end of the armrest, which is higher than the door, is visible.

However a view from the front would indicate that the driver side door does not open. At least not with the spare tire in the way...

I was wondering if a cooker might be present. I don't see any other source of heat. You'd want at least hot water for coffee, and hot dogs ought to be hot.

From the other angle you can see the two license plates. One for DC and the other for VA. I guess the vendor went between those two places?

Also I have the front accessory bumper but not the two body attachments. Now I know what they looked like and considering putting the bumper on my 21 Touring. Not to sure how they bolted on but looking close at the photo.
