I'm trying to identify the proper name for the square U-bracket that holds the rear spring to the rear of the frame. There are 2 per car.
If anyone has one for sale I need one. (part found)
Thanks everyone for the information

Re: Trying to identify a part name
According to the Ford Price List Of Parts, they are called "Rear Spring Clip".

Re: Trying to identify a part name
Jeff, you are correct. Parts book describes part number 3833 as "Spring Clip". I have always called them rear "U Bolts". I thought the piece that hangs over the spring to keep the leaves aligned would be more appropriately called the "Spring Clip" . That one, part 3848 is actually called "Rear Spring Retainer Clip and Rivet". As they say, you learn something every day!
