Kingston B-1 Gasifier
Is there anyone out there that rebuilds Kingston B-1 Gasifier? I would like to try it instead of my Holley Vaporizer. Thanks Jared

Call Tom Carnegie at The Antique Auto Ranch in Spokane. He knows all about the Kingston B=1 Gasifier. and uses them on his cars.

Russ Potter restored one for me. I actually bought the carb from him and he rebuilt it. I don't have the car done that it will go on, so I can't give a performance review but from what I have read it is a very good carburetor.

I think I remembering reading a previous post here on the forum where someone said they ran much better than a Holley vaporizer.

I would like to try it instead of my Holley Vaporizer.
They're far superior to anything Holley ever built. The only reason Ford went more with the Holley's was because they were cheap to manufacture (and thus cost less, than a Kingston), plus they've no parts to wear out like that stupid heat transfer plate in the Holley's.
Don't know if you've seen these or not, I drew them for Jim Mahaffey who did an article on both the Gasifier and the Regenerator for the MTFCI publication. Also included throttle positioning for start up (with choke), car warm up, idle (which looks a lot alike car warm up, but isn't) and throttle open. You only need the extention neck (the piece between the carburetor and the manifold) if you're running it in an car with an under the seat tank, like a 25 Touring or earlier.....hope these help.
