Roadster vs coupe?

Post by Dennis Prince » Wed Dec 28, 2022 10:56 pm

Can anyone tell me if I can use 26/27 coupe/sedan inner fender patch panels on a 26 roadster turtle deck? I don't need them to fit perfectly just along the bottom few inches. Thanks, Dennis

There’s nothin special about the bottom few inches of a 26/27 roadster wheel well. Can be easily made from a strip of sheet steel and some simple hand tools. Careful assembly is arguably more important than a good fitting panel. Here’s a pic of the repair work I did on my ol ‘27 roadster

Although the 26-27 coupe and roadster use the same rear fenders, the trunk side construction and the inner fender Pannels are different.
