Getting ready to order a reamer for oversize tappets. What is the recommended
clearance between the tappet and block ?
Thank you for any help .

Buy a piloted reamer from the suppliers along with matching lifters. Use a mechanical guide to put the reamer in the CENTER of things and you'll be good to go without worrying about calculating clearances.

Take a look here for valve guide clearance and fixturing...not for lifters but good info for your review: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/70 ... 1510948496
