How to install wire wheel hub onto drum

I have a decent set of rear wire wheel drums I received with the rocky mountain brakes I purchased, my original hubs are shot so I'm thinking of buying new hubs from Snyder's, does the new hub just slip onto the drum and is held together by swedging the lugs or do I need to press the new hub onto the drum. Is swedging the lugs absolutely necessary, I wouldn't much care if the hub and drum fell apart without the wheel bolted on.

The drums are held to the hubs by the swedging of the studs. Swedging the studs also holds the D shaped head of the stud against the stamped key in the drum preventing the stud from turning. The traditional manner of removing a swedged stud is to use a hole saw type tool to cut away the swedged material at the threaded end. New studs should be installed and swedged

You need to back up the drum and lugs and press the hub on if you’re not going to put new lugs on, but I’d go with new. Remember there is a lot of weight & pressure at that point.

Its not a locking tab. More like a stop to keep the stud from turning should it get loose.
You shouldnt need to do anything to them if the new stud heads are the same size.

Langs sells a tool that is used to cut the swagged portion of the stud off.
They also have a tool use to swag the new stud
You will need new studs
I notice that one of the studs (upper right) is welded to the brake drum
this weld will need to be removed with a die grinder
the studs should be a push fit in the hub and need to be swagged for the proper fit

Can someone explain or link a video showing the swedging process on wheel lug nuts? I searched google and mainly found info pertaining to wire cables.

I ordered a set of wire wheels of wire wheels lugs and the swedge tool from Lang's but I do not know how to use it.
