Is this a scam?

Post by Craig E. Luton » Thu Mar 02, 2023 12:13 pm

Has anyone dealt with someone with a email handle of "Pure Bull"? Wondering if it is legit or not.
Thank you
Craig

Too Funny

I would not do business with my neighbor, if they went by "Pure Bull"

Likewise, I would not do business with anyone on the forum who has an obviously fake name registered, and a pseudonym for a signature line. Not many of 'em, but they exist.

There are no MTFCA members with a user name PURE BULL. Any unsolicited email response is always likely to be a scam.
Many email scams sent to MTFCA members sent directly to them & not via the Forum to purchase something are 99% a scam unless you know the person
Don't click on anything in the email.
So what does PURE BULL want from you?

I had advertised for 1913/14 rear end halves and he answered that he had some if I was interested. He didn't send any attachments so I have not opened anything from him. I did a search for him on the want ad forum and didn't find anything.

Thinking its 100% scam now
I looked at your original WTB and I'd advise you & others not to display your email address or phone number either in text or an image. This opens the door for scammers to contact you. If someone needs to contact buyer/seller they just need to click on the user name under the post text and send an email via the forum. I had posted an image of my email address thinking it would make it easier for members to contact me. Got a scammer instead, very poor English. I went back and deleted those from the old postings
I blocked it out below

Bull sent me pictures of what he thought was a 14 rear end. I told him that it was not one so he sent me other pictures. He never did answer my questions. He is a SCAM person, stay away. I did delete my email address, never again.
