Win a new car

Post by Steve Jelf » Sun Mar 05, 2023 10:21 pm

How many grains of corn will a hungry rooster eat in one hour? For being the best guesser, Mrs. Vera Casement was awarded the 15,000 votes offered in the prize popularity contest being conducted by Kuntz the clothier, 209 South Summit Street. "Big Mike," the rooster in question ate 513 grains and Mrs. Casement's guess was 511. The voting for the prize offered in the "whale of a sale" will close tomorrow evening, when the prize will be awarded. The prize is a Ford sedan car.

Today, she'd likely have to sell the car to pay the taxes.
