All the parts books call this P-159.

But it's marked P-140.

This has been observed before. Even Stan was at a loss for an explanation. :)

Maybe it's a Perfecto? Check with Richard Gould.

Maybe it's a Perfecto?

Nope. It was one of about half a dozen all the same, salvaged from Ruckstels.

Maybe someone pulled the wrong # out of the box & didn't pay attention.
You wouldn't scrap that because of the part number, likely they thought the same.

Or more likely the draftsman making the parts catalogue used the wrong number and no one checked....

Once it was published it was too embarrassing to say it was an error?

an interesting side note of history :-)

I drive a Model T ... Microseconds don't matter :D

For every Absolute Model T Fact there are at least three exceptions.

Go ahead and use it! It looks to be in nice shape. So many of them have a big groove in them.
