Transmission identification

Post by Bill Schubert » Fri Apr 21, 2023 12:44 pm

Looking for help identifying the transmission on the left in the attached photo. I have exhausted my resources trying to understand the function of the gear on the end of the clutch assembly. Any help determining what it fits or is worth is greatly appreciated.

Bill

Kevin, you beat me to it!

and what are the odds of two guys within a week looking at the same crazy-rare accessory, each having 1/2 of the total assembly??

In the last few years there was an NOS setup at Luray. It was sold to someone from the hometown where it was made.

I have that on my '22 Coupe transmission with the exterior cable cover to the speedometer and the cover over the transmission with the cable connection, but I am missing the internal cable to make the speedometer work.

Hi Dennis,
I have some cable ends & the crimping tool. Sorry I only have some used cable :( The ends ( tips) & cable are still available from Dorman
Dealers. Stewert Warner & S.S. White may not support that part of the industy I think? It should be possible to make up a cable if ends, size
& length can be figured out. Dorman universal cable kit is #10104.
Craig.

Tim Morsher made the gears for the trans covers years back.
