Lake Norman T's (Possible new NC Model T Club)
It looks like the Tarheel T's are the only NC Model T Club Chapter. If we have interest I would like to get a Chapter going in the Lake Norman Area. I drive about 1500 miles a year but I seem to to be the Loan Ranger as I am always driving solo.
Not sure how many people would be interested or how many we even need to form a Chapter but lets see if anyone is interested.
Thanks
Ron

Ron, You should talk with Kathy Tagert as she is the new chapter co-ordinator for the MTFCA. Her phone number is 850-585-3631 and her email is ktagert@cox.net.
She will be happy to tell you all about how to start a new chapter, etc.

I will give her a call but I still wanted to see how many people around hear would be interested. I would think we would need about 10 or so to start a new Chapter. It would be nice to have local Club focused on driving.

understand that only a tiny fraction of MTFCA members frequent the forum. Simply asking here about interest in a local chapter means you are missing 90% of potential interested hobbyists.
As someone who helped organize a now-significant club in Florida, I will reinforce the need to contact Kathy regarding your interest as she has access to membership rolls, can put you in touch with likely prospects and supply info which will coach you through the process. Harness that enthusiasm and focus it on success, using all of the tools at your disposal!
Good luck

What Scott said above is correct. I will just add that you need at least 5 MTFCA members to start a new chapter.

I am a member of the Tarheel T's and it is a great group of folks,
It is not that far away from you.
The Tech sessions are fun and a good way to meet the folks, and learn!

Tarheel Tee's not the only T club. Blue Ridge Riders has a few members in the Hendersonville/Brevard/Asheville area. Alas, it is a long drive to Lake Norman. We tend to drive with Tennessee T's, a bit closer. If you get something going in the greater Charlotte area let us know, some may trailer down there for a nice drive or two.

I hope you’re able to form a local chapter. Being involved in a chapter can sometimes be work but is rewarding. While you have been enjoying your T, odds are there are others in your area that just need an excuse to get out there.
